L-Way East contains Carmel

Lincoln-Way East 31, Carmel 6: Northern Illinois-recruit Tom Fuessel threw a 61-yard touchdown pass to Kevin Duffin and ran 54 yards for a score during a 24-point opening half for the host Griffins in nonconference action in Frankfort.

Kyle Langenderfer recovered a blocked punt in the end zone for Lincoln-Way East. He also helped lead a defense that limited Carmel quarterback Josh Walinski to 49 rushing yards on 22 carries.
