Donations sought for Palatine food pantry

Palatine residents can participate in the “Move For Hunger” food drive this month benefiting the Palatine Township Food Pantry. Donations may be dropped off between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday at the offices of Von Sydow’s Moving and Storage, Inc./Agent for Wheaton World Wide Moving, 250 E. Illinois Ave., from Tuesday, Nov. 1 through Nov. 14. Food will be delivered in time for Thanksgiving. For details, visit moveforhunger.org.

Also, the staff at Honquest Furniture for Living is sponsoring a holiday food drive. Nonperishable foods collected will be delivered to the Palatine Township Food Pantry for Thanksgiving. Collection bins will be provided Tuesday, Nov. 1 through 20 at the front of the store, 1455 S. Barrington Road, Barrington. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday; and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Donations of coffee, tea, hot cocoa mix and healthy, nutritious foods are encouraged over snacks and desserts. For details, call (847) 382-1700.
