Credit union lends hand at Nature Funfest in North Chicago

Great Lakes Credit Union staff recently participated in the Kids Nature Funfest at the Greenbelt Cultural Center in North Chicago.

GLCU has a partnership with Lake County Forest Preserve District as sponsor for three family-oriented events during 2012. Kids Nature Funfest is part of the “Leave No Child Inside” initiative dedicated to improving children’s physical, social and emotional well-being through outdoor play and exploration. The event taught kids about nature and allowed them to participate in a variety of outdoor activities and contests. Kids were also able to meet Kirby the Kangaroo, GLCU’s mascot, and have a spin at the GLCU prize wheel.
