The Who announce stop at Rosemont’s Allstate

The Who are coming to town.

The iconic 1960s rock band is launching a 2012 tour and have announced plans for a Nov. 29 stop at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont.

The two surviving members, Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend, will showcase their 1973 rock opera “Quadrophenia” during the tour stops, performing the album in its entirety plus other classic selections from the band’s catalog.

Tickets go on sale July 20 for members of The Who’s fan club, July 23 for American Express cardholders and July 27 for everyone else. Tickets are $39.50 to $129.50, plus fees.

This is the band’s first tour in four years.
