Bartlett woman receives $1000 scholarship

The Bartlett Woman’s Club announced the winner of its annual Woman’s Re-entry Scholarship, which was made possible by the Spring Fashion Show fundraiser.

The winner, Breda Wisniewski, a resident of Bartlett, received a $1,000 scholarship to attend Elgin Community College and pursue studies in psychology.

The club’s upcoming events will include an August Wine and Cheese party, and the Tuesday, Sept. 4, Kickoff at the Log Cabin.

The Bartlett Woman’s Club is open to women ages 18 and older. The club sponsors many social and philanthropic events, including an annual senior citizen’s lunch, holiday cookie bake, lunch with the Easter Bunny, spring scholarship fashion show, monthly dinner out, Bunco club, monthly first Tuesday meeting at the Log Cabin with guest speakers and more.
