Palatine Jaycees helping Haiti with fundraiser dance

The Palatine Jaycees will be hosting a Dancing 4 Haiti fundraiser which is open to the public from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, at the American Legion Hall 122, W. Palatine Road in Palatine, to raise funds for Red Cross relief for Haiti.

"Come dance the night away and help us support the Red Cross's efforts in Haiti," said Kelli Kusch, project chair. "For your $10 donation at the door, you'll enjoy dancing with our fabulous DJ, appetizers as well as all you can drink draft beer. We'll also have raffle drawings throughout the evening for some wonderful prizes."

Every year, the Palatine Jaycees raise funds through projects such as the Fourth of July Festival, Christmas tree sales and garage sale that benefit the community.

The Palatine chapter has more than 150 members and is one of the largest in the state. The Jaycees provide individuals between the age of 21 and 40 the opportunity to develop personal and leadership skills while serving their community.

The Palatine Chapter holds their monthly general meeting on the third Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall. For more information, call (847) 604-0288, e-mail info@palatinejaycees.org or visit palatinejaycees.org.
