Controlling strays pricey venture
Well, here we go again with hundreds of calls about feral, stray and abandoned felines having kittens in someone's back yard, under their deck, etc. The majority of people calling just want us to make the problem go away at no cost to them.
Some will try to help by just giving the kittens away to just anyone and leaving the mother to have another litter just a short time later.
We recently received a call regarding some homeless people down by the river in Elgin who had a bunch of kittens that someone gave to them and they were cutting them up to use as bait for fishing. Think about that before you give those kittens to strangers eagerly wanting all of them.
We have been trying to get a grant in the Pepsi Refresh Project and we need your help by voting for us to get us to the No. 10 spot. Without this grant we will no longer be able to continue our work.
Please go to pepsirefreshproject.com and we're No. 13 in the Neighborhood 50K category as Guardian Angels Feline Rescue. Please vote daily in July. Thanks for your support. We also desperately need volunteers and people to adopt or foster felines. Donations can be sent to P.O. Box 595, South Elgin, IL 60177.
