Fay’s BBQ helps raise funds for S. Elgin parks

The South Elgin Parks & Recreation FUNdation is hosting a Fay’s Pork Chop BBQ Dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, at the municipal annex, 1 W. State St. The event proceeds will benefit the construction of the Regional Destination Playground for all abilities and disabilities being built at SEBA Park.

Dinners include your choice of chicken, pork chop or a combo, applesauce, baked beans, coleslaw and roll. Dinners are dine-in, pickup or drive-through. Beverages will be available for a small additional cost. Tickets are available for sale at the village hall Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. or from the FUNdation or park committee members for $12. Tickets can also be purchased online at fundationfaysbar-b-que.qrickets.com for $14. You can purchase dinners at the event on a first-come, first-served basis, the price is $15.

The FUNdation is also selling raffle tickets for half of a pig. Tickets are one for $2, three for $5 or an arm’s length for $10 and are available now as well as the day of the dinner. For details, call (847) 622-0003.

The South Elgin Parks and Recreation FUNdation is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for the residents of the village of South Elgin through the development, implementation and funding of recreation, education and conservation programs, services and facilities.
