Campton petition hearing Wednesday
An electoral board on Wednesday will hear arguments over how many names are on the ballot for Campton Hills village president for the April 5 election.
President Patsy Smith challenged the nominating petitions filed by Kristin LeBlanc on the grounds that LeBlanc failed to get signatures from enough voters, missed the 5 p.m. deadline Dec. 19, and didn't fill out a statement of economic interest.
A hearing was set for Monday night, but LeBlanc's attorney needed more time to prepare and was granted a continuance.
