Antioch car show:
The 14th annual nostalgia car show will roll into Antioch on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram dealership, 105 W. Route 173. The free event is sponsored by the dealership and two others: Raymond Chevrolet-Kia and Kunes Country Ford. Donations to the Children’s Memorial Hospital are encouraged. Almost $12,000 was raised last year for the charity. Chuck Lehmann, sales manager, said organizers expect up to 5,000 people to attend. About 400 to 500 show cars will be on-site, and members of the public are also encouraged to bring in their vintage automobiles. Other events include a dynamometer station for measuring horsepower, a drag race simulator and carnival games for children, including a bounce house, face-painting and balloons. A free hot dog lunch will be served with chips and soda.
