Antioch to continue water talks

The Antioch village board voted unanimously Monday to extend discussion regarding Lake Michigan water until Dec. 31. The vote will give the village more time to explore options, including continued discussion with the North-West Lake County Lake Michigan Water Planning Group. Had the extension not passed, the board’s allotted discussion period would have ended July 31. At a previous village meeting, the majority of trustees agreed they would seek a referendum vote if they decided to commit to the water planning group.
