Submitted by Administer Justice

Attorney Dave Clark, a director on the executive board of Administer Justice, received the Chicago Chapter of the Federal Bar Association’s Award for Excellence in Pro Bono Service.

The award was presented at the 13th annual Excellence in Pro Bono and Public Interest Service Award Ceremony on May 18.

Clark was nominated for the award by Judge Susan E. Cox for his outstanding pro-bono service.

The ceremony was held at the Everett McKinley Dirksen U.S. Courthouse in Chicago. The award ceremony was presided over by Chief Federal Judge James Holderman and the award itself presented by Judge Susan E. Cox.

Clark has been on the board of directors for Administer Justice since January 2011. Administer Justice is a nonprofit organization, providing free civil legal assistance to thousands of area residents through a comprehensive program of educational outreach, legal assistance, government intervention and conflict resolution services. The organization, headquartered in Elgin, served nearly 6,200 individuals in 2011 with the help of more than 700 volunteers who donated more than 10,000 hours.

“My first steps in pro bono service were for Administer Justice,” Clark said. “The organization and my experiences with Administer Justice prepared me well for this case and others.”
