Palatine group to have care packages for soldiers at parade
The Yellow Ribbon Support Group, which in the past nine years has sent more than 23,000 care packages to deployed military men and women, will be at Palatine’s Fourth of July parade at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 30.
The nonprofit organization will have a table set up at Benton and Wood streets with packages ready to be mailed. Anyone wanting to help can take a box to the post office and pay for postage.
