Lake County Forest Preserve offers kayaking classes

The Lake County Forest Preserve District will offer introductory kayaking classes on June 16 and June 23 at the Independence Grove Forest Preserve near Libertyville.

The first class will run from 1 to 4 p.m. and the second from 9 a.m. to noon. They’re open to adults or families with kids at least 9 years old.

Registration costs $29 for county residents or $41 for anyone else. To register, visit lcfpd.org or call (847) 968-3321.
