Gail Borden offers volunteer opportunities

Visit the Gail Borden Library's Volunteer Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, at the library, 270 N. Grove Ave., Elgin.

Many organizations will be there to explain how you can make a difference volunteering with them.

They include: LULAC, The Literacy Connection, Youth Leadership Academy, Administer Justice, Fox Valley Volunteer Hospice, Northern Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity, Elgin Area Historical Society, CASA Kane County, Aunt Martha's Youth Service Center, Senior Services, City of Elgin, Downtown Neighborhood Association, Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois, Community Crisis Center, Salvation Army Golden Diner Program, Elgin Children's Chorus, Elgin Junior Service Board, Boys & Girls Club of Elgin, Centre of Elgin, Westdel 4-H Club, Kane County Association for Home and Community Education and Hawthorn Hill Nature Center.
