Man accused of making threats to Kane Co. officials
A Bolingbrook man was charged with two felonies after he threatened a Kane County assistant state's attorney and an employee of the Kane County clerk's office over the phone, authorities said.
John Gareski, 46, identified himself when he made the call on Tuesday, according to a statement from the Kane County sheriff's office.
The next day, he was taken into custody outside his home and charged with two counts of threatening a public official. Gareski was taken to the Kane County Adult Justice center and is being held on $75,000 bond.
Gareski has previous convictions in Kane and Kendall counties for offenses including resisting a peace officer, battery, domestic battery, harassment by telephone, and being a drunken pedestrian.
