No coverage of peaceful rally
On Friday, June 8, several thousand citizens, including myself, gathered on Federal Plaza in Chicago to rally for religious freedom. Participants listened to a variety of speakers who spoke one of our most cherished freedoms, the freedom to practice our religion without government interference.
Even when a “flash mob” showed up with their balloons, confetti and swing band, everyone continued to enjoy the rally. No participants wore bandannas over their faces, no police officers were injured, and no citizen was Tasered.
I’m reporting this event because few in the media did. No one saw this peaceful rally on the nightly news, nor did they read about it in the Daily Herald.
