Police ID man hit by train in Geneva

Geneva police have identified the man who was struck and killed by a freight train Saturday morning as Patrick M. Flynn, 40, of the 500 block of Linden Court, Geneva.
But they still do not know what Flynn was doing before he was hit.
Geneva and Metra police are investigating the matter, which happened at 12:50 a.m. June 9 west of the Metra station. An employee on an eastbound freight train reported it hit something, and a worker on a second eastbound freight train discovered it was a person.
Linden Court is about a block north of the rail line, just east of Western Avenue.
