Bartlett neighborhoods asked to host block parties

The Bartlett Police Department is looking for neighborhoods to host a National Night Out block party on Saturday, August 4, between 3–10 p.m. This is a perfect opportunity to get together with your neighbors to strengthen the community and to promote positive police-community partnerships.

Members of the Bartlett Police Department and Bartlett Fire Protection District will visit several neighborhoods to determine the best lighted neighborhood, best overall, participation, theme, and spirit block party awards that will be presented at the 19th annual National Night Out Picnic in the Park event at Bartlett Park on Tuesday, Aug. 7. Last year, approximately 17 neighborhoods participated in the National Night Out Block Party/Neighborhood Lighting Competitions.

For information, contact either Officer Flores or Officer Alagna of the Bartlett Police Department’s Crime Prevention Unit at (630) 837-0846 or download the information at www.village.bartlett.il.us/police/police.html.
