Waukegan Beach roadwork:

The Waukegan Municipal Beach will close at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27, for roadwork. Construction crews will install a pipeline near the main gate of the facility and, during this time, there will be no access to the beach and the associated parking lots via Sea Horse Drive for the duration of the construction project. On Thursday, June 28, Sea Horse Drive will be reduced to one lane, and a roadside flagger will direct traffic in and out of the facility. Full access to the Waukegan Municipal Beach is expected to resume on Friday, June 29. For more information, call (847) 599-2510.
