Cubs vs. Philadelphia Phillies at Wrigley Field

Pitching matchups: The Cubs' Matt Garza (2-1) vs. Vance Worley (3-2) or TBA today; Chris Volstad (0-5) vs. Roy Halladay (3-3) Thursday. Both games begin at 7:05 p.m.

At a glance: The Cubs (15-21) split four games with the Phillies (18-19) at Citizens Bank Park at the end of April. The Phillies may have to scratch Worley from the opener because of arm soreness. In Tuesday's 7-6 loss at St. Louis, the Cubs suffered their eighth blown save in 14 chances. Both teams have struggled with their offenses. The Phillies were 10th in home runs Tuesday while the Cubs ranked 15th in the NL. The Cubs were ninth in on-base percentages while the Phllies were 12th. Hunter Pence hit a pair of homers Tuesday against Houston, including the game-winner, to give him a team-leading 9 for the season.
