Elk Grove Village can lead by example

I applaud the mayor and city council for holding the line on raising our water and sewage fees until they had no choice. I will now do my share and pay the additional fee and, following the mayor’s advice, try to “stick it to Chicago a little” by conserving my water usage even more.

I ask that the city and the park district do the same by turning off the automatic sprinkler systems that water all the greenery, even in the rain, to set the example. That should help reduce the city’s expenses that much more.
