Barrington to hold hearing on aggregation plan
The Barrington village board will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. Monday, May 7 at village hall, 200 S. Hough St., on moving forward with an electricity aggregation program. The hearing will include a presentation of the plan as well as an opportunity for the public to comment on it. Barrington’s ability to pursue an electricity aggregation program was approved by village voters on March 20. Once the village chooses a provider, residents who want to stay with ComEd or choose another provider will be required to opt out of the village aggregation deal.
