We need more statesmen

Thomas Jefferson understood it best more than 200 years ago: “I place economy among the first and most important virtues, and public debt as the greatest danger to be feared.”

Congressman Peter Roskam understands as Jefferson did that the future of our country is in big trouble if we can’t reduce our ever-increasing debt. He has been a strong voice to put an end to Congress’ reckless spending and return our nation to fiscal responsibility.

Our most important responsibility as citizens is to ensure the future of our republic, the United States of America. To this end, we must elect statesmen and stateswomen and not politicians. Peter Roskam is a statesman deserving of our united support.
