‘Genuine’ Christians are not racist

Barack Obama promised to be a unifier, but he has become a divider; one of those areas is race. He seems to be pitting blacks against whites. And whenever a conservative disagrees with his policies, he or she is called a racist.

One thing I have learned by experience is that those of us who are genuine Christians are not racist. Whenever I meet someone who also is a Christian, regardless of race or ethnicity, we have an instant bond. That black (African American) who is a Christian is my brother or sister in Christ.

But that neighbor, friend or even relative who is not a Christian is not my brother or sister.

While Jesus was talking to the crowd, He was told his mother and brothers were standing outside. He replied, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.” — Matthew 12:46-50.

Faith is the most powerful unifier on earth.
