Butterfield Road to close:

The Canadian National Railroad’s Elgin, Joliet & Eastern crossing on Butterfield Road, north of Route 60, will be closed beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, May 21 for scheduled repairs. The work is expected to last several days and Butterfield Road should reopen to through traffic the evening of Friday, May 25. The signed detour route will be Route 60 to Route 45 to Route 176. Local traffic will be allowed from Route 60 to the railroad crossing and from Route 176, to the railroad crossing.
