Electronics recycling event Saturday in Wheeling

The Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County will host an electronics recycling event in Wheeling on Saturday morning.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at Wheeling’s Public Works Department, 77 W. Hintz Road.

Accepted items include cable receivers, computers, tablets, digital converter boxes, DVD players, keyboards, monitors, portable digital music players, printers, satellite receivers, scanners, TVs, video game consoles, VCRs and cellphones.

Only residentially-generated equipment will be accepted. Businesses, school districts and governmental institutions are prohibited from participating in the event, but are encouraged to visit swancc.org for local recycling information.
