Hoffman Estates taking spring, summer brush

In addition to the annual brush pickup program that occurs each fall, Hoffman Estates is offering a brush drop-off opportunity for residents on the third Saturday of each month through August.

Drop-offs will be held May 19, June 16, July 21 and Aug. 18. Drop off brush free at the Public Works Fleet Maintenance Facility, 2405 Pembroke Ave., from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Village will take residential brush only (no commercial addresses). Bring proof of residency. As with the annual fall program, residents are reminded that following items will not be permitted:

Ÿ Tree branches larger than eight inches in diameter or 10 feet in length.

Ÿ Tree trunks, stumps or root balls.

Ÿ Railroad ties or landscape timbers.

Ÿ Grass clippings, leaves, sod, spent plants or yard waste.

Ÿ Brush mixed with unacceptable materials.
