Police say 13-year-old boy driving in deadly Indiana crash
INDIANAPOLIS — Police say a 13-year-old boy was driving a speeding SUV that flipped several times on an Indianapolis street, killing an adult cousin who was riding with him.
Police say the boy was driving in a neighborhood on the city’s far-east side Tuesday evening when the SUV went out of control after going too fast into a curve in the street. Twenty-six-year-old Juan Carrillo of Indianapolis was ejected from the SUV and taken in critical condition to a hospital, where he later died.
Police arrested the boy on several preliminary charges, including criminal recklessness.
