Find garden favorites at master gardener plant sale

Looking for high quality plants and more this spring? The University of Illinois Master Gardeners in Lake County have what you need.

Master Gardeners will host a plant sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 19. Perennials, seedlings and other plants are donated from the gardens and homes of the Master Gardeners and friends. Come early to find some exceptional cultivars and varieties.

The sale will be held rain or shine on the lawn at the Lake County Office of the University of Illinois Extension, 100 S. Route 45, Grayslake. Cash and checks only. Credit cards are not accepted.

This year’s sale will also feature Garden Treasures — an area of tools, books, containers and everything garden for purchase. Master Gardeners will be available during the sale to answer all questions about plants, gardening and lawn care.

Bring your appetite with you as well. The members of the Lake County Association for Home and Community Education will be selling baked goods.

For more information about the sale, call the Lake County of the University of Illinois Extension at (847) 223-8627.
