Illinois foot doctors are joining in a drive to donate shoes to Haiti.

Many Central Americans have no shoes, and the earthquake in Haiti has made the need there that much worse.

Share Your Soles, in Alsip, provides shoes to needy children and adults around the world.

Shoes left at podiatrists' offices will be brought to Share Your Soles to be cleaned, disinfected and shipped.

There are also many drop-off sites in Chicago and in the suburbs at Dick Pond Athletics and many other running stores.

To find a nearby foot doctor, call (888) 869-3338 or see ipma.net, or to find other drop-off sites, check out shareyoursoles.org.

Male fertilityConceive magazine reports top myths about male fertility:1. Boxers good, briefs bad? Most studies do not show a correlation between the type of underwear a man wears and sperm count. But it is good to keep that area cooler. Laptops on the lap, hot tubs, saunas and long-distance bike rides are more damaging than tight underwear.2. Size matters? Penis size doesn't matter - though smaller testicles often have lower sperm counts.3. Not much can be done? Plenty can be done to improve male fertility. Stopping smoking, cutting down excessive use of alcohol or drugs, losing weight, managing diabetes and high blood pressure, taking vitamins, medications and surgical procedures can all help.Stair masterHere's your chance to climb the highest peak in the suburbs - the 31-floor Oakbrook Terrace Tower. The American Lung Association is sponsoring a Fight for Air Climb fundraiser at the tower on Sunday, Feb. 14.Teams and individuals can use the stair climb as a fitness challenge, a race, to support someone living with lung disease, or as a tribute to someone who has passed away. You can even climb two or three times in a row for 62 or 93 floors.Registration is $25, and $75 is the minimum fundraising donation. Space is limited. Another climb is scheduled for the 45-floor Presidential Towers in Chicago March 28.For information, call (800) 586-4872 or see lungusa.org.- Robert McCoppinFalse20001691Pair of sneakersJupiterimagesFalse
