Quade holds no grudges, wants back in baseball

DES MOINES — Even from a distance, former Chicago Cubs manager Mike Quade, who was fired last November, can’t bring himself to wish any ill will on his former club.

“You don’t wish what happened up there on anybody,” Quade said this week after his former team ended a 12-game losing streak. “Regardless what happened in my situation, you still care about a large group of players and staff members. Even from a distance — which I am right now — you still care.”
