Skyway shut down during investigation
The Chicago Skyway was shut down for nearly two hours as police investigated a report of two people firing at vehicles entering the toll road.
However, the Chicago Tribune reported, the bullets turned out to have been rocks.
The incident occurred on the city’s Far South Side, near the Illinois-Indiana state line.
Chicago police officer Daniel O’Brien said at least six vehicles were struck about 9 p.m. Authorities said no one was injured.
No one had been arrested late Wednesday night.
