Aurora reminds residents of watering regulations
The city of Aurora is reminding residents of its regulations about watering lawns, automatic irrigation systems, swimming pools and car washing.
Residents can water lawns between 5 and 9 a.m. and 6 and 10 p.m. on even- or odd-numbered calendar days depending on whether the last digit in their street address is even or odd.
Residents with permanent automatic sprinkler systems can water lawns between 5 and 9 a.m. daily with no evening watering allowed.
No watering is allowed on July 31 or Aug. 31.
Residents can water plants, trees and gardens, fill swimming pools with less than 50 gallons and wash cars at all times using a hand-held hose of 1-inch diameter or less.
Permits for watering sod or seed for the first 10 days after installation are available from the buildings and permits division or public works division by calling (630) 256-4636.
