Wheaton North 1, Bartlett 0: Wheaton North scored in the fourth overtime to beat Bartlett in the Class 3A West Chicago regional. Natalia Grodzki had 14 saves in goal for the Hawks (11-9-2). “We fought valiantly through injuries but in the fourth overtime we fell short,” said Bartlett coach Heather Thomas. “I could not be more proud of the girls tonight. They played some of the best soccer I’ve seen them play. They left it all on the field tonight.”
Huntley 5, Rockford Jefferson 0: Delaney Loprieno scored the hat trick as Huntley (12-5-4) advanced to play McHenry in Friday’s championship game of the Class 3A Rockford Jefferson regional. Abigail Nordeen and Jessy Helm added goals for the Red Raiders, with Nordeen and Jessica Brock providing assists. Jessica Galason and Kelli Rubino combined for the shutout in goal although neither had to make a save.
CL South 4, Dundee-Crown 0: Bianca Miceli had 2 goals and Mackey Taldone added a goal and an assist to lead the Gators into Friday’s championship game of the Class 3A Jacobs regional against the host Golden Eagles. Cella Albuquerque had the other goal for Crystal Lake South and Gianna Disarno made 3 saves in goal. Denise Maldonado had 9 saves for the Chargers.
