Drill at O'Hare International Airport

The Chicago Police Department conducted a simulated “active shooter” incident from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. at O'Hare International Airport Terminal 5.

The exercise involved emergency response units heading to a “simulated incident” conducted at the terminal.

The Chicago Department of Aviation announced the drill to ease concerns of travelers that may be at O'Hare this morning.
