Woman robbed in apartment complex parking lot

A woman was robbed around 8:20 p.m. Thursday in the parking lot of an apartment complex in North Aurora, police reported Friday.

Police were called to the 200 block of North Lincolnway. The 29-year-old victim told police that the suspect approached her as she got out of her car.

He pointed a gun at her, and demanded her money. She gave him $10 and the man fled south on the Fox River Trail.

The suspect is a black man, about 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10 inches tall, about 150 pounds, with an athletic build, according to police. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black or dark blue pants, black and white shoes, and gloves.

The gun was described as a black semiautomatic, with silver or gray color on the rear.

Police dogs searched the area, but were not successful in locating the suspect.
