Canadian Snowbirds highlight Wings Over Waukegan Sept. 8

The Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbirds will be the main attraction of Wings Over Waukegan air show Saturday, Sept. 8.

“We are excited that Wings Over Waukegan is able to bring such a rare performance to our area,” said the show’s president, Grant Farrell. “We have been working with the professionals from the Canadian Snowbirds to showcase this amazing demonstration team.”

Attendees will also enjoy the popular Navy F-18 Superhornet, a wing walker, jet-powered school bus, Warbird planes, airplanes on display, the A-4 Skyhawk, food, classic cars and more.

The Canadian Snowbirds aircraft will be on display during the Wings Over Waukegan core air show hours. Gates open at 9:30 a.m. and the air show is from noon to 4 p.m. at Waukegan Regional Airport, 3580 N. McAree Road, Waukegan.

Tickets are available in advance online at www.wingsoverwaukegan.com and at the gate. The cost is $10 for adults, free for kids younger than 12.
