Probation for Wheeling woman charged with drug possession

A 32-year-old Wheeling woman was sentenced to 30 months intensive drug probation in exchange for her guilty plea to possession of a controlled substance.

Elizabeth A. Michalec must participate in a substance abuse evaluation and follow any recommendations, submit to random drug tests, adhere to a curfew and perform community service as a condition of her plea. The judge Monday also ordered Michalec pay $650 in fines.

Officers executing a search warrant arrested Michalec at her home on July 27. They recovered cocaine, cannabis, drug paraphernalia and a total of about $16,000 from her car and residence, prosecutors said during Michalec’s bail hearing last year.
