Hoffman Estates police looking for armed robber

Hoffman Estate Police are looking for assistance in tracking down an armed robber who targeted a Red Roof Inn late Wednesday night.

Sgt. Darin Felgenhauer of the Hoffman Estates Police said the man entered the Red Roof Inn in the 2500 block of Hassell Drive at about 10 p.m. Wednesday, implied he had a weapon, and took money from the front desk clerk.

After the robbery, he fled out the door on foot, Felgenhauer said. It’s unknown which way the offender fled.

Felgenhauer didn’t have a description of the offender early Wednesday, however he is hoping that anyone in the area may have witnessed the incident.
