NCTV invites Napervillians to help make ‘Our Story’

As part of Naperville Community Television Channel 17’s yearlong 25th anniversary celebration, Naperville residents can be a part of the making of “Our Story.”

Starting at midnight Wednesday, May 2, for the next 24 hours, everyone in the community is invited to participate in the creation of a communitywide documentary modeled after Ridley Scott’s “Life in a Day” documentary, now available on YouTube.com.

On May 2, from midnight until 11:59 p.m., capture a moment on your phone camera, your camcorder, or digital camera. Record something that captures who you are, what you value, or what you love about Naperville.

Sing a song, share your morning walk or run, or simply record something random. You can capture an event or activity that makes you happy or something that brings a tear to your eye. It’s all good — as long as you record it and send it to Naperville Community Television.

NCTV17’s staff will review all the submissions and edit the media together into a testimony to a day in the life of Naperville. One day, one community, thousands of moments captured in one story — “Our Story.” The documentary will premier in the fall.

As May 2 approaches, watch for detailed directions for uploading your recorded moments at NCTV17.com.
