Submitted by Darla Kuhs/Deerfield Park District
During April, the works of photographer and Patty Turner Center Member Michael Zidman are featured on the Art Wall at the Patty Turner Center in Deerfield.
“My camera is the brush, the colors in the subjects are my palette and the prints are my canvases,” Zidman said. “My objective is to take a simple subject, and, with the use of creative and natural lighting, color, and depth of field and composition, make a pleasing and interesting photograph.”
Michael Zidman is a graduate of the Art Institute of Chicago where he studied art and design. He has worked as a graphic and product designer for more than 35 years. Zidman’s long-standing passion for photography goes back to his childhood. A love of nature and all things around him have inspired him. His photographs are the result of these inspirations.
Displayed are a series of photographs done at Millennium Park in Chicago called, “Children at Play” and a series of landscapes and florals.
