Hydrant flushing program set for April 16-27

April 5, 2012: The Village's annual Hydrant Flushing Program begins Monday, April 16, at 12:01 a.m. and continues 24 hours a day for approximately 10 days. There will be no hydrant flushing on Sunday, April 22.

Various neighborhoods in the Village will be affected on different days by hydrant flushing operations. When hydrants are flushed in your area, please test the cold water before and during all clothes and other fabric washing. If any discoloration is observed, stop using all water until the discolored cold water clears, which is usually within one or two hours.

The hydrant flushing schedule is as follows:

Monday, April 16: area south of Oakton Street to Central Road

Wednesday, April 18: area north of Oakton Street to Palatine Road and in the area south of Central Road to the southern border of the Village

Friday, April 20: area north of Palatine Road to Hintz Road

Monday, April 23: area north of Hintz Road to Dundee Road

Wednesday, April 25: area north of Dundee Road to the northern border of the Village
