Bloomington Edge beat Slaughter

The Bloomington Edge avenged an early-season loss to the Chicago Slaughter Saturday night with a 70-65 win at the Sears Centre Arena, according to a report at goifl.com.

The Slaughter led 59-53 early in the fourth quarter before Bloomington took the lead on a touchdown pass and added to it with a score on a blocked field-goal attempt for a 67-59 lead in the closing minutes.

The Edge is now 5-1 on the year, while the Slaughter is 1-4 on the Indoor Football League season.
