Learn about Finley Road project April 25
LOMBARD, Illinois—The Village of Lombard Public Works Department will host a public information meeting regarding the Finley Road Rehabilitation project on April 25 at 6:45 p.m. in Room 16 of the Sunset Knoll Recreation Center, located at 820 S. Finley Road.
The presentation will cover the items of work, the anticipated construction schedule, traffic detour and the access for local residents and travelers with destinations within the construction zone. Anyone with recreational activities or places of worship located on Finley Road is strongly encouraged to attend the meeting. Residents who live within the construction zone are also strongly encouraged to attend.
A power point presentation outlining the construction staging of the project will be made at the beginning of the meeting. The presentation will be posted on the Village's website (www.villageoflombard.org) during the week of April 30 for those who cannot attend the meeting or want to review the items of discussion. The presentation may be found under “Quick Links” which is located in the center column of the homepage. The presentation will be an update to a prior presentation (shown at the January 12, 2012, Context Sensitive presentation and workshop). “If you have not watched the presentation before, it would be a good idea to view it prior to attending the meeting. It covers general background information about the project,” advised Ray Schwab, Civil Engineer with Lombard's Public Works Department and project manager.
The video is located on the Village website (click on Video on Demand, then click on Archived Meetings, then look under Non-Meeting Content, scroll to the Finley Road Rehabilitation Project listing and click on Video.)
After the presentation and general question/answer session, representatives from the Village of Lombard, Civiltech Engineering, Inc. and Baxter & Woodman (Village consultants) will be available to discuss any specific issues potentially affecting properties located within the construction zone.
The information meeting will be accessible to persons with a disability. If additional special accommodations are required, please contact Public Works, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at 630-620-5740 by 4 p.m. April 18, 2012.
