Holocaust author visits Hoffman Estates

In honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day, Marty Brounstein, author of “Two Among the Righteous Few: A Story of Courage in the Holocaust,” will be a guest speaker at Beth Tikvah, 300 Hillcrest Blvd, in Hoffman Estates, at 7 p.m. on April 17. His book tells the story of Frans and Mien Wijnakker, a Catholic couple from Dieden of the Netherlands who saved the lives of at least two dozen Jews in southern Holland during World War II. Brounstein’s wife was one of the people the Wijnakkers saved. Refreshments will follow the event. For information visit beth-tikvah.org.
