Pedestrian struck by train near Naperville station
A pedestrian was struck by a Metra train near the Naperville station during the evening commute today, according to Metra officials.
Metra train No. 1277, which departed Chicago's Union Station at 5:45 p.m., struck the pedestrian at 6:24 p.m., said Metra spokesman Michael Gillis.
Trains on the BNSF Railway are stopped in both directions, Gillis said.
The duration of the delay is unknown, and no further information was available regarding the pedestrian's condition.
