New addition at Dundee Twp. library

During a major renovation earlier this year, a new addition was made to the Dundee Township Public Library.

The Teen Space houses the library's collection of books and graphic novels geared specifically toward its phattest patrons. Now that the space has been defined, the library is looking to form a Teen Action Group to give input and opinions on how to make the area their own.

All interested teens are invited to attend the first TAG meeting at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23 in the library's meeting room. Games and snacks are on the agenda, as well as some real planning. Members of TAG will have the opportunity to provide input on a library web page and teen blog, plan programs, and select books, magazines, movies, and music for the teen area. Teens can earn volunteer credit while making library services all that and a bag of chips.

If you are interested, send an email to dundeeteens@dundeelibrary.info or call Elizabeth Mavros at (847) 428-3661, ext. 320.

The library is at 555 Barrington Ave. (Route 68) in East Dundee. For information, contact the library at (847) 428-3661 or dundeelibrary.info.
