Veterans group holds fundraiser at Barrington area home show

The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 311 will be holding a flag-tag fundraiser this weekend at the Barrington Area Free Home Show, taking place at the Lake Barrington Field House, 28156 W. NorthPointe Parkway, in Lake Barrington.

Chapter 311, which serves the northern part of Chicago and Northwest suburbs, will give a 4” by 6” American flag in exchange for any donation. For donations of $10.00 or more, donors will have a choice of a military type ball cap.

About 60 percent of proceeds will be donated to other organizations, including Wardogs, Salute Inc., U.S.O., National Vietnam Veterans Art Museum and the V.A. Wheelchair Games.

The show takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For more information about the show, visit www.freehomeshow.com.
