Bartlett residents contribute to quilt wall hangings

Last summer at the farmers market, Passport to Adventure at Arts in Bartlett and the art activity at Bartlett Heritage Days in September, area residents created a variety of quilt squares for a number of Bartlett Heritage decorative wall hangings.

From elaborate stitchery to children’s watercolor squares, each 10-by-10-foot square reflected the thoughts and visions of the person creating them, making these wall hangings a part of Bartlett’s Heritage from 2011.

Thanks to the skill of the Loving Hands Quilters at Living Lord Church in Bartlett, Arts in Bartlett has 22 unique wall hangings that will be on display starting in April in the Gallery, 118 W. Bartlett Ave.

Arts in Bartlett invites those children and adults who made squares last year to come see the results of their work on display at the gallery during the summer.

Due to limited wall space and the large number of wall hangings, a different portion of the wall hangings will be on display each month.

The display will end at the Bartlett Village Hall 2nd Floor Gallery during September.
